Wymagania wstępne:
In the academic seminar can participate students who have some basic knowledge in history of philosophy. Because of the language, a student must be able to speak English at, at least, intermediate level.
Cele:
The main aim of the course is to make students interested in Russian and Byzantine philosophy which was created in the context of the Eastern Christian tradition. Such thinkers as Vladimir Solovyov, Pavel Florensky, Nikolai Berdyaev and others proposed an original manner of philosophising which, on the one hand, refers to the Western European thought and, on the other, to the Byzantine-Russian Orthodoxy. The main aim is to instruct and guide the diploma works of the student.

Efekty kształcenia:
student is aware of most crucial issues of Russian and Byzantine philosophy.
Student is able to compare Russian and Byzantine philosophy with other philosophical traditions.

Sposoby sprawdzania i warunki zaliczenia:
Student participation in each class is required; also, his/her activity will be measured by involvement in discussions. In order to pass the seminar the students shall be obliged to submit the part of their MA thesis preparing under the guidance of the advisor.
