The progress
of media and information technology brings on the one hand multiple benefits for man
and community, but on the other hand, when ill-used by humans, it reinforces injustice
and perpetuates harm. Functioning of the media on the basis of truth and justice ensures
that media coverage will respect the dignity of man and serve the construction of a truly
human community. The purpose of the analysis presented in the article is an attempt
to show the role of justice as a virtue and as an ethical principle in the functioning of the
media, especially in evaluating human activities in the modern sphere of the media.
