Abstrakt:
The article is an introduction to the Polish translation of Pavel Florensky's paper 'The Meaning of Idealism'. It contains some biographical information, a short interpretation and translator's remarks. Pavel Florensky (1882-1937) was a Russian philosopher, theologian, mathematician, engineer and a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church. He was murdered by Bolsheviks in a labor camp. It is argued that Florensky held views similar to the Hegel's theory of concrete universals, Quine's theory of four-dimensional universals and Wittgenstein's theory of family resemblances.
