Ewolucyjna miłość

Abstrakt:

Evolutionary Love is the last article from the series of five, which appeared in „The Monist” journal in 1893. The whole series is one of the most important sources of Peirce’s metaphysical and cosmological thought. In this particular article the doctrine of agapism, which states that evolution takes place by virtue of the creative love, is introduced. This concept, along with synechism (the continuity of universe) and tychism (that chance is a real factor in the universe), form the backbone of the author’s metaphysics which, during the course of article, is confronted with the Christian way of perceiving the world. Apart from philosophical matters, Evolutionary Love also gives some insight into Peirce’s views concerning some social, economical and religious issues, and includes his comprehensive view of history of science and ideas in 19th century.
