Abstrakt:

Julien Benda (1867–1956), a French intellectual, known first and foremost for his book The Treason of the Intellectuals (1927), was the greatest critic of Henri Bergson’s (1859–1941) philosophy. The aim of this article is to describe and ponder upon the arguments which Julien Benda put forward against Bergson’s idea in the context of the main theses of the author of Creative Evolution (his ideas of intuition, intellectual cognition, duration).
