Struktury tonalne «Gorzkich żali» i ich ludowa recepcja


Abstrakt:

The liturgy ”Gorzkie Żale” has been published in 1707. The text is written by father W. S. Benik, an author of the melody is unknown. The “Gorzkie Żale” liturgy has achieved a great popularity in XIX and XX centuries, as one of many forms of Jesus Christ’s Passion meditation. Melodies of this liturgy gradually had undergone some folklore transformations and finally had become very similar with folklore melodies. The matter of this paper is the analysis of these melodic and tonal variants, in which influences of the polish folklore may be seen.
