The Interfaculty Institute of Bioethics is taking into consideration following problems:

- Is it allowable to clone a human?
- Is it permissible to freeze human embryos?
- Is it allowable to experiment on embryos?
- Ethical problems connected with the artificial insemination
- Stem cells versus transplantation of human organs
- Problems with AIDS
- Limits of the struggle with suffering
- Problems of euthanasia and capital punishment
- Protection of the natural environment

The Interfaculty Institute of Bioethics is propagating the idea of "the civilization of the life" put forward by John Paul II

It is done in the following ways:

- Educating bioethicists in the Christian spirit,
- Graduate studies in bioethics,
- Organizing bioethical conferences for teachers and physicians,
- Offering public presentations and workshops,
- Publications
