Identity and imagination: Paul Ricoeur’s hermeneutic anthropology.
In the philosophy of Paul Ricoeur’s we can see two permanently linked areas of reflection: hermeneutic, as an exegesis of a text, and anthropology, which ties two categories: personal identity and imagination. In my study I will take a closer look at the relationship between them to present a basic concept of Ricoeur’s hermeneutic anthropology. It is an attempt to uncover and interpret the general these of the Ricoeur’s narrative identity and social imagination.
